Manitoba has laws to improve accessibility.  These laws affect all organizations that employ at least one person. Businesses include shops, restaurants, hotels, legal, healthcare and other professional services etc.

Non-profit organizations include charities, unions, places of worship, community organizations and member associations etc.


Accessible Customer Service

As of November 1, 2018, if your business or non-profit organization has at least one employee, you must meet the Accessibility Standard for Customer Service.

Accessible Employment

The Accessibility Standard for Employment requires businesses and non-profit organizations with at least one employee to create and act on measures, policies and practices to increase accessibility in the workplace.
